It's my birthday on Friday (JUNE 25), so I asked Crosss to play a free show for me at CAgibi.

IT'S AN EARLY SHOW.

They will play sometime between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.

After that, some DJs are going to play some records or something and the people who love me can hang out with me 'cause it's my birthday.

But those who don't know me or don't love me can come to the show also. It's for everybody. And they can even hang out after if they feel like it. I'm not gonna kick anybody out.

AND IT'S FREE.

But it's early. And then a party afterward.

Get it !?!?!?

Don't bring gifts.

If you have any questions, you can ask them here.

Oh yeah, you can listen to the band here: http://www.myspace.com/crossses

That's me on the poster. I think I was 10 years old or something. My hair was blonder then.

A few updates

1. My band, Denial Tone, is currently working on some new material. We plan to start playing shows again in November. Meanwhile, we have a tape for sale. Write to denial.tone at gmail dot com if you want copies.

2. I now have a monthly DJ night at Le Cagibi. It's on the second Wednesday of the month and will feature DJ Youth Contemporary (me) and an assortment of rotating guests. The first one is tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9. I haven't figured out a name for the series yet.

3. Still have plans brewing for my two solo projects, Racine and The Great Vowel Shift, but haven't had much time to focus on them lately. Hopefully that will change soon.

It's been a busy and amazing summer so far. More to come...

Organic Noise in the park...

I'm going to be playing a very short piece called "Concerto for voice, glockenspiel and 17 double-A batteries (in two movements)" at this mini-festival in a park, this weekend.

I'm not on the poster, because I was a late addition to the line-up, but I'll be performing as The Great Vowel Shift.
